World Youth Day
website:
http://en.rio2013.com/ World Youth Day, established by Blessed John Paul II in 1984, is the largest youth event in the world. This “vivid experience of faith and communion” has become the Church’s Day for youth and with youth. “Forming an immense circle of friendship”, young people of all races, nations, cultures, and experiences pursue an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ through various catechetical sessions, festivals, and liturgical celebrations.
