With today’s release of the McCarrick report and recognizing the many victims for whom this report will reopen deep wounds, I express my sorrow and shame that that anyone representing the Church sexually abused them or turned a deaf ear to their cries.

In collaboration with health and safety protocols from local, state, and federal health agencies, Holy Spirit Academy including the preschool (New Castle, PA) will shift to virtual learning until after the Thanksgiving break.

Out of an abundance of caution with guidance from health professionals who are encouraging vigilance and caution in the midst of an increase in positive COVID cases locally, as well as across the country, the Diocese of Pittsburgh will delay the start of the elementary school basketball season until January 2021. 

Following guidance from the Allegheny County Health Department, Seton La Salle High School (Mt. Lebanon) will have a virtual learning day tomorrow (Friday) and the school building will be closed for all activities at least through Sunday, November 8, 2020.
