I had the privilege of attending last year’s inaugural Catholic Women’s Fellowship Conference, which was themed “BRAVE: Fighting Our Daily Battles with Grace.” With over 900 guests in attendance, the conference teemed with energy and excitement as women from all over Pittsburgh came together to celebrate the beauty and strength of their womanhood within the world and the Church. By the day’s end, I felt revitalized in my faith, my femininity, and my vocation as a young Catholic woman, wife, and mother. There was something deeply life-giving about being in the presence of so many faithful women, and I know that all of us left feeling renewed in our commitment to living out our vocations as daughters of God.
Not only was the conference an incredible opportunity to meet other Catholic women of all ages and backgrounds, but it was also a chance to take a break from the chaos of our daily lives and reflect on what it means to be brave in the face of adversity and hardship. The perspectives of each of the speakers highlighted many of the ways in which we, as women, have been uniquely designed by God to respond bravely and courageously to our daily battles and the lies of the devil. They reminded us of our inherent dignity as daughters of God, worthy of the deepest and most perfect Love.
Overall, through the inspiring speakers, the enthusiasm of so many motivated women in one place, and the time spent in prayer and adoration, I know that the Holy Spirit touched each woman and reminded her that she plays a vital and important role within her family, her relationships, her workplace, and the Church. I am thrilled to be attending this year’s Catholic Women’s Fellowship Conference and know that it will again be a day of renewal, refreshment, and grace.
