Administrative Assistant – Sacramental Records Specialist
Applications are now being accepted for the position of Administrative Assistant – Sacramental Records Specialist in the Archives and Records Center in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This is a full-time position located at the Archives and Records Center. This position provides proactive and detailed administrative assistant support to the Director of the Department of Archives and Records Center while working independently as well as a team member with other staff and volunteers to facilitate the efficient operations of the department using organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills. This position also receives requests for sacramental records or school transcripts in order to prepare the certificate and mail to the requestor.
Qualifications for the Administrative Assistant – Sacramental Records Specialist position include:
High School Degree or equivalent; Associate Degree preferred;
Minimum of two (2) years’ of administrative office experience;
Good telephone and interpersonal skills;
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
Able to operate office equipment including computer, copier, facsimile machine, and telephone;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Business Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher), Microfilm Reader/Printer, and willingness to learn Docuware platform;
Ability to protect confidential information;
Ability to solve complex problems under tight timeframes;
Must be self-motivated.
