Part-time position providing administrative support for the parish office located at 10090 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, PA
Responsibilities:
Works independently as well as collaborates with Pastor, Assistant to the Pastor, Communication Director, and Bookkeeper/Safe Environment Coordinator for efficient operations of the parish office
Office tasks including, but not limited to, answering phones, sorting mail, processing parish mailings, general filing, and archival support
Assist with management of volunteer clearances, including entering data into an online database, filing documents, contacting parishioners (phone/email) regarding expiring clearances, with follow up if necessary
Coordinate with funeral directors and office staff to schedule funeral masses
Schedule the use of parish facilities
Assist with recording of sacraments in the formal register books
Help organize staff functions
Additional responsibilities as directed by the Pastor & staff
Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent, minimum of Associate Degree preferred
Minimum of two (2) years of administrative office experience
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace preferred
Database management experience a plus
Verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented
Friendly, welcoming, and collaborative personality
Effective time management skills
Ability to protect confidential information
Wage and Benefits: Hourly wage commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience. Hours will typically be seven hour shifts, four days per week. Benefits limited for part time employees.
