Ave Maria Academy is seeking a mission driven, hard-working, dedicated, self-starter to join our school community as our Advancement Coordinator. This individual should have a passion for Catholic education and a strong desire to be part of a team. The Advancement Coordinator is a support position who reports to the Principals and collaborates with the School Advisory Council.
The Advancement Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of various special events and initiatives with a focus on identifying, cultivating, and stewarding both active and prospective donors. This individual will be a keystone member of the team, with a concentration in successfully leading special events and providing support in donor stewardship initiatives.
The Advancement Coordinator will also be responsible for the effective use of resources and a donor management system to measure and achieve development goals. This individual will be asked to think both strategically about the larger efforts of the school, while also performing highly detailed and creative work daily.
Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the Principals and the School Advisory Committee to create and implement an annual strategy for cultivating and stewarding donors. • Act in a lead role for planning and executing the annual fund, special events, and alumni relations events. • Effectively utilize a donor tracking database through accurate entry, advanced reports, and integrated communication options. • Ensure all donors are acknowledged in a timely manner.
Qualifications/Key Attributes: • Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a workload while maintaining strict attention to detail. • Solid project management skills, including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite, experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment. • Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing.
