Job Summary:
The Office of Advancement is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Database Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and effectiveness of our database systems. This role also includes the ability to provide gift entry, gift acknowledgment, donor research, staff training as it pertains to Raiser’s Edge/NXT database, event management software, website integration, and creating queries as requested. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our fundraising outreach efforts, optimizing data management processes, and supporting the overall success of our Advancement team and Central Catholic High School.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the overall integrity and quality of the Raiser’s Edge/NXT database, and event management software. This includes routine data audits, implementing system improvements, and performing regular system(s) checks to ensure optimal functionality.
Maintain highly accurate and current donor data that effectively tracks key information, cultivation activities, and histories, in addition to solicitation and reporting calendars.
Conduct research of individual, corporate, and foundation prospects as needed for annual and/or special campaigns.
Perform gift processing, batch entry, gift documentation, approve matching, and employee contribution gifts (via Raisers Edge, Give Smart, One Cause, and other platforms).
Generate timely acknowledgment letters to donors (within 48 hours receiving gift) and follow established protocol on gift acknowledgments.
Manage records and donor relations for monthly/automatic/consecutive/recurring gifts and other pledge programs.
Generate monthly pledge reminders.
Develop and maintain queries/exports for direct appeals, email campaigns, publications, events, annual appeals, etc.
Ability to generate the annual fund/donor reports and endowment fund reports published each year.
Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports for accurate reconciliation with Finance Office and support the Finance Office with the annual audit.
Collaborate with the Advancement team to track and report on fundraising progress and donor trends.
Provide staff training, support, and feedback on data entry and reporting on Raiser’s Edge/NXT.
Establish/revise and codify best practices within the Advancement database.
Assist with special events.
Assist with periodic mailings.
Maintain and order office supplies.
Process check requests for department expenses and follow up with Business Office to ensure payment was made.

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit advancement/development.
Strong proficiency in working with Raiser’s Edge/NXT and/or other fundraising software.
Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.)
Strong grasp of the role of technology in this position with capacity to identify opportunities for improved data quality, reduced data entry, and increased cross-departmental collaboration.
Must be a detail-oriented person.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an office setting.
Ability to function proactively by organizing and prioritizing work, resolving problems, and simultaneously managing multiple priorities to ensure that goals are met.
