Members of the Central Catholic (Oakland, PA) lacrosse team will move to virtual learning and lacrosse games will be suspended through April 29, 2021 due to a positive COVID case in a person associated with the team.
Following Allegheny County Health Department contact tracing protocols, close contacts of the person who tested positive were informed. Families were given COVID health and safety information including reminders from the CDC about how to slow the spread of the virus.
“Each day, we reiterate the importance of proper mask wearing, social distancing and proper hand washing to our students,” said Brother Tony Baginski, FSC, principal. “As we continually tell our students, everything that we do outside of Central Catholic has an effect on Central, and we must all play a part in ensuring the health and safety of our community.”
