This move comes due to a staffing situation related to a positive COVID-19 test result
Central Catholic High School (Pittsburgh/Oakland, PA) moved to virtual learning for all students starting Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021. Students will return to Central Catholic for in-person learning on Monday, March 1, 2021, due to a member of the faculty/administration testing positive for COVID-19.
Parents were informed of the need for the closure and will be updated through the school’s regular communication channels.
Central Catholic continues to follow all local, state, federal and diocesan COVID health and safety directives including mask-wearing, social-distancing, and cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our community has shown incredible resilience, persistence and adaptability,” said Brother Tony Baginski, FSC, Principal. “At this time, the safest place for our community to be learning is online, but we look forward to welcoming our in-person students back to Central Catholic soon.”
