Certified Nursing Assistant Position Description
Description
The Certified Nursing Assistant position at Libermann Hall covers up to eight 8-hour shifts in conjunction with the LPN usually in the morning or afternoon during the week (Monday-Sunday). The CNA position attends to the medical and physical needs of the residents at Libermann Hall according to their qualifications. The Certified Nursing Assistant position is a part-time position and reports directly to the Managing Nurse. Competitive Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualifications
• Completed an accredited training program
• PA Nurse Aide Certification
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Works under the direction of the Managing Nurse
• Assists residents with performing basic tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting
• Responds to call lights to provide needed assistance
• Provides safety
• Assists with transferring and ambulating
• Encourages exercise and activities
• Monitors medication administration
• Assists with meals
• Collects samples for testing
• Monitors patients for adverse reactions to medications and treatments and report to RN
• Monitors patients for change in health status and report to RN
