Oakland Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Admissions to lead and manage our admissions department. As the Director of Admissions, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment and enrollment process, developing and implementing admission strategies, and ensuring a positive and efficient experience for prospective students to fulfill our mission of providing a Catholic education for young women in the Pittsburgh area with a focus on our three pillars of Spirituality, Scholarship, and Service.
Director of Admissions Responsibilities & Duties
Recruit and enroll students committed to Catholic identity and Oakland Catholic mission, ensuring a positive and efficient experience for prospective students.
Ability to promote the school, effectively foster relationships with parents and students, and collaborate with colleagues.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as financial aid, the school office, and the advancement office to ensure a seamless admissions process.
Analyze enrollment data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
Provide weekly updates and reports to senior leadership on admission metrics and progress.
Support requests for the administration and board of directors.
Coordinate recruitment events, open houses, and visit days.
Ability to create materials to support admissions efforts using Canva, Publisher, or similar platforms.
Strong team player, capable of performing in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
Experience working with databases and data entry.
Build and implement a strategic enrollment plan to plan for long-term growth.
Seek unique partnerships to build enrollment pipelines or pathways.
Create and manage a communication plan for all prospective students.
Visit local schools to educate them on what Oakland Catholic has to offer them.
Director of Admissions Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, marketing, or business
Strong leadership and management skills, being able to work independently but also as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong public speaking and presentations skills needed
Full-time - Monday-Friday 40 hours a week; with some limited evening and weekend events. Full benefits package available.
