Saints Martha and Mary Parish is seeking to hire a full time Director of Evangelization. The Director of Evangelization will oversee the parish’s efforts to form missionary disciples as they encounter and are transformed by the living Jesus Christ. The Director is responsible for developing a strategic plan to grow the parish community of the Hampton and Richland areas as a member of the Pastoral Team. This position advances the catechetical and evangelical programs that draw all to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and a more intimate understanding of the Catholic faith, wherever they are on their faith journey. Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate fully in the practice of the Catholic faith
Directly report to the Pastor
Coordinate adult evangelization programs in a variety of formats to meet each person (parishioners 18 and over) on their faith journey, including but not limited to existing programs such as ChristLife, Marriage Ministry, Young Adult Ministry and more
Oversees the recruitment, training, formation and mentorship of lay leaders in the parish especially through the ChristLife program and other evangelization initiatives
Coordinate all aspects of the annual parish mission
Identify and implement programs and initiatives that welcome and orient “newcomers” as well as teach, train and inspire current parishioners to become missionary disciples
Assist with planning special liturgies specially geared toward evangelization
Work with other parish ministry leaders to incorporate evangelization into their efforts
Collaborate and support Pastoral staff in the areas of Adult Formation, Youth Ministry, Religious Education, etc.
Maintain an evangelization budget

Required Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with study in Theology, Divinity, Pastoral Studies or equivalent
A minimum of two years of experience in parish ministry and/or management of a not-for-profit organization with knowledge of evangelization programs and resources (Negotiable)
