Position Description Facilities and Properties Manager Full-Time
Description
The Pittsburgh Oratory is seeking new Facilities and Properties Manager. This person will be generally responsible for facilities and grounds at The Pittsburgh Oratory (Oakland), The Oratorian Residence at 4040 Bigelow Blvd (Oakland), the Oratorian Fathers and Brothers Retreat House (Hampton Twp), and Rednal Retreat House (Ligonier). The position allows for highly flexible work hours, but requires availability for emergencies as required. The Facilities and Properties Manager is required to provide his or her own hand and power tools, but larger equipment will be provided by the Oratory as needed.
In the summer and surrounding months, the manager will focus more on outdoor landscaping work, while the summer will be more focused on interior improvements and maintenance. With all tasks, the Oratory expects attention and care from an employee who wants to be a welcoming presence to all who come to the Oratory. All duties will have to be performed in accord with Oratorian and Catholic values.
The Oratory is a Catholic community of seven priests and two brothers. We serve the people of the City of Pittsburgh, and primarily the university students, with prayer, sacraments, pastoral care, and other ministries. The fast-paced and busy work environment with a vibrant staff should prove exciting for any motivated employee. The position will be demanding, but the Oratory aims to offer a competitive salary, great benefits, and an enjoyable working environment, all while working to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
A multi-stage interview process will take place, and the position will likely be filled with a June 1, 2025 start date, though the start date is flexible.
