Pastor
The Reverend Joseph A. Carr from Administrator pro-tem of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, Ambridge/Baden/Conway/Franklin Park, to Pastor of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, Ambridge/ Baden/Conway/Franklin Park, effective Friday, January 27, 2023, for a term of six years. At the same time, Father Carr has been relieved of his responsibilities as Parish Chaplain of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish.
Retired with Assignment
The Reverend John P. Gallagher from Senior Priest at Divine Grace Parish, Cranberry/Ellwood City/Zelienople, to Retired with an Assignment as Senior Priest at Divine Grace Parish, Cranberry/Ellwood City/Zelienople, effective Monday, February 13, 2023.
Leave of Absence
At his request, the resignation of the Reverend John F. Donahue as Pastor of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish, Ambridge/Baden/Conway/Franklin Park, has been accepted, effective Friday, January 27, 2023. Father Donahue has been granted permission to begin a six-month leave of absence for personal reasons, effective Monday, February 20, 2023.

The Vicar for Canonical Services, the Very Rev. Thomas W. Kunz, JCD, has issued the following notification regarding the canonical status of David E. Scharf, an ordained priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh:
On Tuesday, May 20, 2022, the Diocese received from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith a decree conveying and executing the decision of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, in which David E. Scharf has been released from the clerical state and dispensed from all priestly obligations, at his request.
This notification is being issued so that the faithful may have clarity regarding the canonical status of David E. Scharf.
