Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 at Saint Bede Catholic School (Point Breeze) will move to virtual learning Thursday, January 6 and Friday, January 7, 2022 due to COVID-19 related staffing issues. In-person learning will resume Monday, January 10.
School principal Sr. Daniela Bronka sent an email to school families informing them of the need for the change and offering further direction regarding the virtual schedule. Impacted students were given time to gather the materials they needed for at-home class participation.
“I want to express gratitude to our school families for their continued support throughout the pandemic. Almost every day, I receive a call from someone asking what they can do to help,” Sr. Daniela said. Each day of being in school is a blessing, and faculty and staff work hard to make sure that our students learn and feel safe in the building. Even with masks on, it is a great joy to see their smiling eyes when I greet them each morning.”
