Holy Cross Academy (Ross Township) is closed Friday, March 13, 2020, following a report that a student may have been exposed to the coronavirus (COVID-19) from a relative outside of school.
To be clear, no Holy Cross Academy community member has any known symptoms or contact with anyone who has tested positive for the virus. However, according to the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC’s) most recent recommendations the school will be sanitized.
Holy Cross and all other K-12 schools in the diocese will be closed Monday, March 16, 2020. The Schools Office of the Diocese of Pittsburgh scheduled an in-service day so that teachers can plan and prepare for additional potential closures due to the pandemic.
