Housekeeper (Part-time)
Days/Week: Mon - Fri (Sat/Sun as necessary)
18 hours/week

Reports to: Facilities Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: High school degree or its equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in housekeeping or related field.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• Understanding of building and routine janitorial techniques;
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment;
• Operate and maintain laundering equipment;
• Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces;
• Experience with industrial strength cleaning agents with knowledge of when to use them;
• Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners;
• Good communication skills;
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision;
• Capacity to take direction;
• Strong attention to detail.
This part-time position provides housekeeping services for St. Katharine Drexel Parish buildings which include: the Richeyville Church, the Richeyville rectory, the Bentleyville Church, and the Bentleyville rectory. The housekeeping includes dust mopping, vacuuming, waxing of pews, cleaning bathrooms, washing walls and windows, laundering, and trash removal.
ROUTINE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Richeyville Church: (3 hours)
• Remove trash and recycling and prepare bins for weekly pick-up.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
• Mop the ceramic floors.
• Dust all the windows and furniture.
• Clean/wax the pews.
• Dust all the windows and furniture
• Notify supervisor of necessary repairs to equipment.
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify supervisor of supply levels.
Richeyville Rectory: (5 hours)
• Provide laundering, dry cleaning, ironing, and folding.
• Dust all the windows and furniture.
• Mop the kitchen and bathroom floors.
• Clean kitchen appliances.
• Vacuum all the carpeted rooms.
• Clean all bathrooms.
• Empty all the trash cans.
Bentleyville Church (5 hours)
• Remove trash and recycling and prepare bins for weekly pick-up.
• Vacuum all the carpeted rooms.
• Clean and stock restroom in basement.
• Dust all the windows and furniture.
• Clean/wax the pews.
• Clean the choir loft.
Bentleyville Rectory (5 hours)
• Provide laundering, dry cleaning, ironing, and folding.
• Dust all the windows & furniture.
• Mop the kitchen & bathroom floors.
• Clean kitchen appliances and dishes.
• Vacuum all the carpeted rooms.
• Clean all bathrooms.
• Empty all the trash cans.
OTHER DUTIES:
• Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor(s).
