Providence Heights Alpha School, a small, private, Catholic, elementary school sponsored by the Sisters of Divine Providence that is conveniently located next to La Roche University, is looking for a long term substitute to teach primary science, social studies and STEM beginning in February till the end of the school year.
Candidates must have excellent verbal communication skills, strong motivational skills, committed to teamwork and collaboration, and should enjoy being in the company of children.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing appropriate curriculum for assigned grade levels that are aligned with Pennsylvania Education Standards
• Creating, evaluating and planning instruction with authentic assessments
• Delivering high quality, engaging lessons
• Consistently managing classroom procedures, routines, and rules
• Empowering and motivating students to make positive choices and hold them to high expectations for academic and personal success
• Adhering to all Providence Heights Alpha School policies and procedures

Requirements include Bachelor’s degree and PA teaching certification and all state mandated clearances.
