Maintenance Person – Facilities Management and Maintenance
Applications are now being accepted for the position of Maintenance Person in the Department for Facilities Management and Maintenance in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This is a full-time position. The Maintenance Person position provides maintenance and repair service to Diocesan buildings, facilities and property including semi-skilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and other minor repair work. On call for emergency response to the needs of the above Diocesan locations. May also perform specialized functions with regard to equipment operations and boiler maintenance. This position also assists with janitorial services as needed. General qualifications for this position are: high school degree or its equivalent and some additional training in building trades and general maintenance; minimum of two to three years’ experience in a related field; knowledge of the operation of building systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, controls, hardware, and roofing; operation of power tools and routine construction, and repair techniques. Valid driver’s license is required. Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.
