Mission Office Administrator | Bethel Park, Pa. Reporting directly to the Provincial in conjunction with the Director of the Spiritan Office for Mission Advancement, the Administrator of the Mission Office coordinates all aspects of the Mission Appeals of the U.S. Province organized under the auspices of the Missionary Cooperative Plan (MCP) of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)
Principal duties include: Responsibility for all communications with the Mission Offices of Dioceses in the United States where we are requesting annual Parish Mission Appeals, and communications with Pastors of Parishes where we are assigned appeals.
Coordination of dates and all details of the appeals with Pastors of Parishes and with the Spiritans who are recruited and available to assist with taking the mission appeals. Ensuring all Diocesan requirements for Missionaries doing appeals are fulfilled including Letters of Suitability for Ministry, and rules regarding use of envelopes and limitations on solicitation of funds outside of the agreement with the Diocese’s Mission Office. Maintains detailed accounts and records of funds collected, expenses, compilation and retention of receipts for reimbursements for travel for the Spiritans taking the mission appeals. Distributions of funds collected which is coordinated through the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.
