The Residential Support Specialist (RSS) reports into the House Program Director and works directly with the residents and their babies to ensure their well-being. The RSS is responsible to assist in all aspects of the residential operations and to support the delivery of programs and services to the residents and their babies in fulfillment of Mary’s Place mission, policies, and procedures. Mary’s Place operates 24 hours a day so this position requires shift work.

Essential Duties
Residential Operations: During coverage period supervises the residents and oversees the house operations. Responsibilities include:
Perform traditional customer service duties: answer phones, meet and greet donors, and volunteers.
Maintaining cleanliness/welcoming appearance of the building. • Complete intake/exit assessments of residents
Complete incident reports.
Assists with drug screening and overseeing client self-administration of medication.
Administer CPR/AED/Narcan when appropriate.
Receive/document donations.
Ensuring residents are completing daily responsibilities and tasks.
Assisting the residents in the days and/or evenings to ensure established routines are being followed, including awareness of overall health and well-being of the
residents.
Maintaining a healthy, clean, and safe environment. Responds quickly and calmly in the event of an emergency or life-threatening situation.
Helping with integrating new residents into Mary’s Place
Ensuring all policies and procedures are being followed. Any incidents are reported, and incident reports are completed.
Defusing confrontation with resident’s, using appropriate verbal behavioral and de- escalation techniques.
Administrative: Collaborates with the House Program Director to determine the support needed. Responsibilities include:
Receives, maintains, and executes resident referral intake process.
Answering house and/or cell phone, checking messages
Assisting with the implementation of special events
Manage, track, help coordinate and document all services provided.
Receiving tracking donations • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
Associate degree in Social Work or related field plus 3 years’ experience in the human service field
A High School degree or equivalent plus 5 years’ experience in the human service field will be considered.
Experience with drug and alcohol, mental health,at risk women, and homelessness preferred.
Minimum Job and Physical Requirements
Eligible to work in the US
Current/valid PA driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience with a safedriving record.
Ability to remain on feet 60% of the time during the day with the ability to navigatemultiple floors via stairs.
Ability to work outdoors during the Spring/Summer months doing lite gardening,planting and/ or raking leaves.
Ability to lift to 25 pounds, receive shipments, break down shipment boxes, take out trash/recyclables, household laundry and shoveling snow.
