The 8th grade boys developmental basketball team at Saint Louise de Marillac Catholic School (Upper St. Clair, PA) has moved to virtual learning as a precaution after an individual associated with the team tested positive for COVID-19. The students will return for in-person learning on Monday, February 1, 2021.
School families were notified and will be updated through regular school communication channels.
St. Louise de Marillac continues to meet or exceed all diocesan, local, state, and federal public health and safety directives including mask-wearing, social distancing, and cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
“St. Louise students participate in a wide range of physical activities throughout the school year to encourage healthy choices, develop skills and learn the importance of sportsmanship. To minimize the risk of COVID-19, St. Louise de Marillac School has taken the necessary precautions based on recommendations from the diocese, federal, state, and CDC. All basketball players and coaches wear masks during all practices and games,” said Ken Klase, principal.
