Administrators at Saint Therese School (Munhall) were informed today that an individual associated with the school tested positive for COVID-19. Due to the results of contact tracing and staffing considerations, the middle school (grades 6-8) will be closed for in-person learning from Monday, March 1 through Friday, March 5, 2021. Students will learn remotely during that time. In addition, all junior varsity and varsity basketball games and practices are postponed through Friday, March 5.
School families were notified of the situation and will be updated as necessary through regular channels of communication.
Consistent with CDC guidelines, all school buildings are regularly cleaned and sanitized. In addition, Saint Therese School continues to follow all diocesan, local, state, and federal health and safety directives, including wearing face coverings, handwashing/sanitizing, social distancing, screening procedures, and cleaning/disinfecting.
“I thank our Saint Therese families for their continued support and prayers as we navigate through this time together. I look forward to having our middle school students back in person on March 8.” said Jon Cuniak, principal.
