Following guidance from the Allegheny County Health Department, Central Catholic High School (Oakland, PA) will move to virtual learning for all students starting Thursday, February 18, 2021. Students will return to Central Catholic for in-person learning on Monday, February 22, 2021, unless otherwise noted.
This action comes after several positive cases in the Central Catholic community were reported in the month of February.
Parents were informed of the need for the closure and will be updated through the school’s regular communication channels.
“We are dedicated to balancing the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff with our commitment to providing a quality education for all of our students,” said Brother Tony Baginski, FSC, Principal. “We thank our parents, teachers, faculty and staff for their hard work, dedication and commitment during these difficult times.”
