As Catholics, the Eucharist is the source and summit of our lives. Jesus gives us His very Body in the Eucharist, reminding us that He never leaves us alone to face our struggles. This fall, the Diocese of Pittsburgh will convene a Eucharistic Congress, a day of Mass, adoration, a Eucharistic procession, powerful talks on the Eucharist, and fellowship, all tailored to help you fall deeper in love with the Eucharist. The event is part of the National Eucharistic Revival called for by the Catholic Bishops of the United States. Learn more about the Eucharistic Revival here.
The day's keynote speaker is the Father Jonathan Sawicki, vocation director of the Diocese of Harrisburg and parochial vicar of Prince of Peace Parish, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Steelton, PA. Father Sawicki will speak about the necessity of the Mass and the Eucharist for the Christian life. He’ll also offer practical tips to help you enter into the Mass more fully. Inspiring breakout will also be available during the day.
