This workshop (at O'Connor Hall, St. Paul's Seminary), which is tailored for church, school, youth gorup and religious education settings includes: a comprehensive overview, guidelines on emergency response planning, drills and practical exercises. Leading is Officer Aaron Vanatta, a national expert and trainer in preparedness, awareness strategies, and the proactive handling of technological, environmental and man-made hazards, including active shooter or violent assault. Aaron is the founder of RESPONSEology Consulting and Safety Solutions, a national trainer for the ALICE Training Institute, the Region 3 Director for the National Association of School Resource Officers, Director of Friends of Safe Schools USA/PA and the School Police Officer/Safety and Security Coordinator for Quaker Valley School District. This presentation is offered at no cost for principals of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, as well as any catechetical administrators, youth ministers, clergy, campus ministers and school chaplains that could not attend the Fall session.
