The Woman's Catholic Bible Group of Christ the King Parish has selected the First Book of Samuel as their study focus this year.
All women from diocesan parishes are welcome to participate.
Produced by St. Benedict Press, the study includes a workbook with extended commentary and a video presentation. The weekly sessions also allow time for prayer, reflection and discussion.
No prior participation is necessary as each study's information is self-contained. Cost of the text is $55. The 18-week study will be divided into nine-week fall and spring sessions. There will be an informational "welcome back" session for current and new participants on Tuesday, September 6 at 1:00 pm in the Pastoral Center of St. Scholastica Church in Aspinwall. The regular fall program will begin the following Tuesday, September 13, and run from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. This will be the 15th year that the group has met for study, reflection and fellowship. All women interested in learning more about their faith will find this a rewarding experience. For additional information or to register, call 412-963-0198.
