The Society of St. Vincent de Paul works through many parishes, delivering food and providing other assistance to people in need. See your parish's website for local details. Its thrift stores are closed and cannot accept donations either at the store or in donation boxes, but many local St. Vincent de Paul groups are seeking volunteers. Click here to learn more.
The Ladies of Charity are active in many parishes and offers various kinds of assistance, including assistance with food or utility bills to those 55 and older. Contact your local parish to seek or offer help. The Ladies of Charity also operates non-profit home care programs, with low rates, that is still operating amid COVID-19. Sisters Place in Clairton serves single parents and their children who have been homeless. They have specific needs, including monetary donations. For more information, click here.

The Red Door is a Downtown Pittsburgh soup kitchen at St. Mary of Mercy Church in Divine Mercy Parish. It has transitioned to take-out meals and adjusted its hours amid COVID-19. For information on how to give or receive help email hereddoor@divinemercypgh.org or call 412-471-0257.
