On Saturday, April 5, 70 catechists formed in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd method gathered at the CGS Apostolate Center in Verona, PA for ongoing formation, fellowship, and a beautiful meal. The group consisted of parish leaders and volunteers from across the Pittsburgh Diocese, as well as some leaders and volunteers from surrounding dioceses. The event, hosted by CGS Apostolate Center Director, Celine Mitchell, attracted top-notch speakers. Attendees benefited from hearing from national catechetical leaders: Karen Maxwell and Mary Mirrione, as well as Fr. Boniface Hicks, who concluded the evening with a reflection on CGS as “spiritual direction for children.”
