The Associate Director of Development collaborates with the Executive Director of Advancement, the advancement team, volunteers, and other school staff to provide leadership for the advancement program as it builds a strong culture of philanthropy throughout our school and community. This position has a particular focus on the successful planning and execution of the school’s special events, assisting with booster club fundraising and other affiliated fundraising efforts. The Associate Director of Development is part of a team responsible for developing and implementing Central Catholic High School’s annual advancement plan, also assisting with the outreach to individual, corporate and foundation gifts, as well as related cultivation and stewardship activities.
Responsibilities:
Cultivates a well-defined culture of philanthropy across the school’s constituencies, including internal stakeholders such as faculty, staff, and board members. Aligns philanthropic work to the school’s values.
Support the Advancement Office strategy and implementation of special events, annual giving (including parent giving and booster clubs), stewardship, and alumni engagement to meet fundraising goals.
Meets stated goals and implements strategies to ensure constituent engagement
Support the management of a portfolio of prospects and cultivate relationships with alumni, parents, and other key stakeholders.
Manage all aspects of the event cycle including, but not limited to, committee recruitment and communications, timelines, agendas, all associated logistics, donor and volunteer follow-up and recognition, and managing event software.
Develops content for direct mail and other communications to advance fundraising and improve the school’s overall visibility of special events.
Serve as school liaison to booster groups; serve as an administrator of event software to build registration pages for booster groups and other school gatherings. Must be willing to attend evening booster club meetings, as necessary.
Identifies and solicits event sponsorships and auction items from individuals and corporations in accordance with funding priorities.
Assist in the recruitment and supervision of volunteer event chairs on planning and implementing Advancement fundraising events
Manage other school-wide events
Work with the Executive Director of Advancement to set annual revenue and event expense budgets.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures set forth for use, growth, and integrity database (Raisers Edge-NXT).
Produces monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on as it relates to responsibilities.
Provide administrative support for all fundraising campaigns.
Maintains close and highly collaborative relationships within the Advancement team, management, faculty, board, parents, and other constituencies.

Qualifications: Five (5) or more years of professional fundraising and event planning experience, preferably, but not limited to, working in development at a Catholic/independent school and/or higher education.
Bachelor’s degree is required
Degree in business, public relations, communications, and/or marketing a plus
Understanding the basic functions and role development in non-profit organizations in general and educational institutions in particular is a plus
Understanding of solicitation and campaign experience a plus
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to excellence, detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
Strong proficiency in working with Raiser’s Edge/NXT and/or other fundraising/CRM software.
Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.)
Experience with special event fundraising software strongly preferred (i.e., Give Smart, One Cause)
Strong grasp of the role of technology in this position with the capacity to identify opportunities for improved data quality, reduced data entry, and increased cross-departmental collaboration.
Must be a detail-oriented person.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an office setting.
Ability to function proactively by organizing and prioritizing work, resolving problems, and simultaneously managing multiple priorities to ensure that goals are met.
Graphic design skills

Additional Details:
Full-time, twelve (12) months
Willingness to work evenings/weekends when needed, with standard work day hours being 7:30am-3:30pm
