Bishop Zubik announces the following clergy appointment:

ADMINISTRATOR (pro-tem)

The Very Reverend Philip N. Farrell, VE, is appointed Administrator (pro-tem) of Saint Mary Magdalene Parish, Point Breeze/Wilkinsburg/Brushton, and Saint Benedict the Moor Parish, Hill District, effective Monday, October 2, 2023 through Tuesday, January 2, 2024. At the same time, Fr. Farrell will maintain his responsibilities as Regional Vicar of the North Vicariate.

MINI-SABBATICAL

The Reverend Thomas J. Burke, after consultation with the Clergy Personnel Board and in light of the norms established by the Priest Personnel Policy, is relieved of his assignment as Pastor of Saint Mary Magdalene Parish, Point Breeze/Wilkinsburg/Brushton, and as Pastor of Saint Benedict the Moor Parish, Hill District, and granted permission to begin a mini-sabbatical for three (3) months, effective Monday, October 2, 2023, concluding on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

RETIRED WITH ASSIGNMENT

The Reverend W. Peter Horton from Chaplain to LaRoche University to Retired with an Assignment as Chaplain to LaRoche University, effective Monday, September 25, 2023, with continued residence at LaRoche University.
