All students and staff attending the Bethel Park campus of Ave Maria Academy will participate in online learning for the remainder of this week. Also, all athletic practices and games will be cancelled until Monday, February 1, 2021. These actions are necessary since school administrators were informed that three individuals associated with the Bethel Park campus tested positive for COVID-19.
Consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Education and CDC health and safety guidelines, all classrooms and facilities will be cleaned and disinfected. The school follows all diocesan, local, state, and federal health and safety directives, including wearing face coverings, hand washing/sanitizing, social distancing, self-screening, and cleaning/disinfecting.
“Our families understand our shared responsibilities to protect one another during this unique time. Our Bethel Park students should not see any difference to their full, academic day during, what I hope will be, a limited duration of remote academic instruction,” said Lynne Lynch, principal.
