All are invited to unite in prayers for strength, comfort, and peace
Following the devastating explosion in Plum that took the lives of five people, critically injured one, and left a community heartbroken, Bishop David Zubik will lead a Holy Hour on Tuesday, August 15, at 7:30 PM, at Saint John the Baptist Church, 444 Saint John Street, Plum, PA. All are invited to attend.
The Holy Hour carries deep significance in the Catholic Church, offering a period of spiritual reflection and connection with God. One does not have to be a Catholic to participate in this service.
"The Holy Hour is a sacred time where we gather to spend an hour in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament,” Bishop Zubik said. “In moments of despair and disbelief, it is so important that we can sit with Jesus, find solace, strength, and a renewed sense of hope. Through our collective prayers, we seek the comfort and healing that comes through Jesus’ love for each of us."
During the Holy Hour, the Blessed Sacrament will be displayed for adoration. This practice, known as Eucharistic Exposition, is a tradition that holds deep spiritual significance.
