Archangel Gabriel School - Cafeteria Manager Job Description: We are seeking a cafeteria manager to oversee the cafeteria and lunch process. The manager will work with staff and volunteers to serve consistent and nutritious meals to students and staff in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and warmth while helping to advance the mission and vision of South Regional Catholic Elementary Schools. Duties:
Recognizes and supports the unique Catholic mission of SRCES by speaking and acting consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Participate in the serving and preparation of food.
Works under the Regional Cafeteria Supervisor to coordinate the purchase and distribution of food.
Assist with creating and updating the school lunch menu in coordination with Regional policies.
Assist with overseeing the cafeteria budget and meal purchasing process to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the kitchen according to the guidelines established by Allegheny County Health Department, U.S.D.A., and assist in the daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dishes, and utensils.
Use proper procedures for receiving and storing groceries and kitchen supplies.
Maintain a good working relationship with parents, students, and other staff and faculty.
Report any faulty or inferior quality food received to the Principal and Regional Cafeteria Supervisor.
Maintain high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Has regular and predictable attendance.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
21 years of age
Appropriate Food Handler Permit
Completed Safe Environment Training and background check
High school diploma or GED
Valid PA Driver's License Job Requirements:
Ability to move, load, and unload equipment and supplies weighing 35 pounds or more
