The Director of Marketing and Admissions is responsible for developing and executing a marketing, communications and recruitment plan to promote and grow Bishop Canevin High School. This will role will be expected to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to alumni, local parishes, elementary and middle schools, and youth ministers to attract prospective students in accordance with the mission and values of Bishop Canevin High School and the Roman Catholic faith. Admissions: • Develop and implement a recruitment plan to grow enrollment by identifying target markets and conducting outreach to actively engage prospective students and families who desire a faith-based, Catholic education • Develop admissions campaigns to supplement the annual admissions activities to reach a broad audience • Supervise, plan, prepare, and execute our annual admissions cycle. • Tours, shadow days, placement tests, application & scholarship process, etc. • Consistently re-evaluate for increased customer service and efficiency. • Plan, prepare, and execute two Open House events, 8th grade visitation day, and other admissions/recruitment events. • Build relationships with local grade schools, parishes, and other community youth organizations. • Build relationships with student ambassadors through continued leadership of the BC Student Ambassador Program in collaboration with the Director of Student Life. • Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of orientation days for freshmen, transfers, and new parents. • Build relationships with prospective and current families through professionalism and timely customer service. Marketing & Communications: • Develop a Marketing & Communications strategy that will increase awareness of Bishop Canevin in the Community to support Recruitment and Advancement activities • Development relationships through outreach to support the Recruitment and Advancement goals • Plan, prepare, and execute an annual marketing cycle, utilizing print and digital media platforms. • Lead initiatives for special marketing projects. • Graphic design background and ability to design logos, advertising, email and social media graphics. • Assist Development Department and Alumni initiatives for the school. • Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of BC Summer Camp programs from the marketing and admissions perspectives. • Oversee website content management and continued web development, making edits on a weekly basis to ensure our content is up to date and pertinent to all viewers. WordPress experience a plus. • Increase student involvement in marketing initiatives, i.e. student photographers, videos filmed and edited by students for use on the web, student articles for publications, etc. • Oversee and coordinate BC communications to all stakeholders. • Development, Office, Guidance, and Athletic Department email schedule. • BC use of various social media platforms. Qualifications: • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field • Experience in admissions, recruitment, marketing • Results oriented; strong interpersonal skills and relationship building • Creative mindset and ability to bring ideas to execution
The Director of Marketing and Admissions reports directly to the Principal and/or President. Your typical daily shift will be daytime hours Monday through Friday. Seasonal events, such as Open Houses, Auction/Gala, Graduation, etc., will require your presence in the evening or on weekends. These events are made known well in advance. The responsibility of building relationships with outside families, schools, and parishes will also require flexibility and additional hours necessary.
