Director of Youth Ministry -- Full time Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Glenshaw

June 22, 2022Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Glenshaw, PA is seeking to hire a full time Director of Youth Ministry. Embracing the parish vision, the Director of Youth Ministry will create opportunities for fellowship, discipleship and spiritual development of middle school and high school students and young adults. The position will collaborate with the parish’s Director of Religious Education and Outreach Coordinator, as well as the principal of Blessed Trinity Academy Regional elementary school located on the St. Mary of the Assumption campus of the parish. This position advances the programs that draw all to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and a more intimate understanding of the Catholic faith.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate fully in the practice of the Catholic faith and the life of the parish
- Directly report to the Director of Evangelization
- Establish and execute programs to build fellowship among youth and young adults, and make the programs a vehicle for them to encounter Jesus. This will include both social activities and service activities.
- Participate as a teacher of our Religious Education program, focusing on 7th or 8th grade.
- Develop effective ways to communicate with students, parents, young adults and the parish at large.
- Articulate and support the parish vision
- Collaborate with Outreach Coordinator on the annual mission trip
- Requires flexible working hours including weekend and some evening hours

Required Education/Training:
- Degree in theology, religious education, catechetics or related field.
- 3 – 5 years in parish ministry
