EMT (Full-time/Part-time) – Saint John Vianney Manor
Applications are now being accepted for the position of EMT in the Secretariat for Clergy and Consecrated Life of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This is a non-exempt position located at Saint John Vianney Manor. The EMT position, under the supervision of the Wellness Care Coordinator, provides health care support for the priest residents at St. John Vianney Manor by assisting in the transportation needs of the priest residents that are not physically capable by using the diocesan transport vehicle in a safe manner following policies and traffic laws. This position also maintains the transport vehicle in efficient operating condition.
Qualifications for the EMT position include:
High School Diploma (or equivalent) required;
One (1) year-experience in ambulance and/or healthcare setting;
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic;
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR);
Driver’s License (per accreditation standards, must be licensed for two years);
Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) required;
EMT certification;
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, exercising courtesy to supervisors, employees, residents, and visitors;
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
