Joins four other diocesan schools announced yesterday
Holy Family Catholic School in Plum has temporarily switched to remote learning, effective today, Thursday January 13, due to staffing issues related to COVID.
Holy Family students will return to class after the Martin Luther King holiday, on Tuesday, January 18.
This decision was made hours after the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh announced similar situations at four other elementary schools on Thursday.
Parents with students at Holy Family were notified late Wednesday afternoon and given directions for the students to complete their assignments before classes resume.
“We continue to be grateful to staff, students and families who are responding to these emergencies with grace and a dedication to continued learning. The health of our school community is our highest priority, and we will continue to do what is necessary to protect everyone,” said Michelle Peduto, director of schools for the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
