The Reverend Thomas J. Burke to Pastor of Saint Benedict the Moor Parish, Hill District, for a term of six (6) years, effective July 13, 2020.  Father Burke maintains his assignment as Pastor of Saint Mary Magdalene Parish, East End/Homewood/Point Breeze/Wilkinsburg.

The Reverend Jeffrey M. Craig to Parochial Vicar of the parishes of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bellevue; Saint John Neumann, Franklin Park; and Sacred Heart, Emsworth, effective July 13, 2020.
 
The Reverend Michael J. Faix to Parochial Vicar of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, Clairton/Jefferson Hills/Pleasant Hills/West Mifflin, effective July 13, 2020.  At the same time, Father Faix is assigned as Chaplain ( part-time) to the students and staff of Seton LaSalle High School.
 
The Reverend C. Matthew Hawkins to Parochial Vicar of the parishes of Saint Benedict the Moor, Hill District, and Saint Mary Magdalene, East End/Homewood/Point Breeze/ Wilkinsburg, effective July 13, 2020.
 
PARISH CHAPLAIN

The Reverend David W. Green from Parochial Vicar of the parishes of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bellevue; Saint John Neumann, Franklin Park; and Sacred Heart, Emsworth, to Parish Chaplain of the newly established Saint John XXIII Parish, Finleyville/Peters Township, effective July 13, 2020.
  
RETIRED PRIEST WITH ASSIGNMENT
 
In accordance with the provisions of the Priest Personnel Policy, and at his request, the Reverend Robert J. Ahlin has been granted permission to retire from his assignment as Senior Parochial Vicar of the newly established Blessed Trinity Parish, Brentwood/Hays/ South Pittsburgh, effective July 13, 2020.  At the same time, Father Ahlin is reassigned Senior Parochial Vicar of the newly established parish of Blessed Trinity Parish, Brentwood/Hays/South Pittsburgh.
 
In accordance with the provisions of the Priest Personnel Policy, and at his request, the Reverend J. Francis Frazer has been granted permission to retire from his assignment as Senior Parochial Vicar of Saint Matthias Parish, Greene County, effective July 13, 2020.  At the same time, Father Frazer is reassigned Senior Parochial Vicar of Saint Matthias Parish, Green County. 
 
In accordance with the provisions of the Priest Personnel Policy, and at his request, the Reverend James K. Mazurek has been granted permission to retire from his current assignment as Senior Parochial Vicar of the parishes of All Saints, Etna; Saint Aloysius, Reserve Township; Saint Bonaventure, Glenshaw; and Holy Spirit, Millvale, effective July 13, 2020.  At the same time, Father Mazurek is reassigned Senior Parochial Vicar of the parishes of All Saints, Etna; Saint Aloysius, Reserve Township; Saint Bonaventure, Glenshaw; and Holy Spirit, Millvale, with continued residence at Holy Spirit Parish, Millvale. 
 
In accordance with the provisions of the Priest Personnel Policy, and at his request, the Reverend Ernest J. Strzelinski has been granted permission to retire from his current assignment as Parochial Vicar of the parishes of Saint Mary of the Assumption, Glenshaw, and Saint Ursula, Allison Park, effective July 13, 2020.  At the same time, Father Strzelinski is reassigned Parochial Vicar of the parishes of Saint Mary of the Assumption, Glenshaw, and Saint Ursula, Allison Park, with continued residence at Saint Ursula Parish, Allison Park.

Deacon Richard A. Longo from the parishes of Saint Mary of the Mount, Mount Washington, and Prince of Peace, South Side, to Saint Teresa of Kolkata Parish, Beechview/Brookline, effective July 1, 2020. 
  
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
 
The Reverend Mark A. Thomas to Leave of Absence for Personal Reasons with residence at Saint John Vianney Manor, effective July 1, 2020.  Father Thomas’ appointment as Consultant to the Archives Office with residence at Saint Philip Parish is rescinded.
  
RELEASED FROM ASSIGNMENT-RELIGIOUS
 
The Right Reverend Martin Bartel, OSB, is relieved of his diocesan appointment as Pastor of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Center Township, and Administrator of the parishes of Saint John the Baptist, Monaca; Our Lady of Fatima, Hopewell Township; and Saint Titus, Aliquippa, in light of his election as Archabbot of Saint Vincent Archabbey, effective July 6, 2020.
 
The Reverend Thomas More Sikora, OSB, is relieved of his diocesan appointment as Parochial Vicar of the parishes of Saint Frances Cabrini, Center Township; Saint John the Baptist, Monaca; Our Lady of Fatima, Hopewell Township; and Saint Titus, Aliquippa, effective July 6, 2020.  Father Sikora has been given a new assignment outside the Diocese of Pittsburgh by the Right Reverend Martin Bartel, OSB, Archabbot of Saint Vincent Archabbey.
