Bishop David A. Zubik, Bishop of Pittsburgh, is making the announcement of the following clergy appointments today:

Special Ministries
 
The Reverend Monsignor Lawrence A. DiNardo from Vicar General/General Secretary and Moderator of the Curia to Vicar for Special Projects. At the same time, Monsignor DiNardo will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Duquesne University and of the UPMC Mercy Board.
 
The Most Reverend Mark A. Eckman from Vicar for Clergy and Consecrated Life to General Secretary and Moderator of the Curia. At the same time, Bishop Eckman will continue to serve on the boards he on which he currently sits with additional memberships to several boards including Catholic Charities, Diocesan Pastoral Council, and Independent Review Board.
 
The Reverend Michael P. Conway from Pastor at Christ the Divine Sheperd Parish, Monroeville/Penn Hills, to Episcopal Vicar for Clergy and Consecrated Life, with residence at Saint Catherine Laboure Parish, South Park/Upper Saint Clair.

CHAPLAINS
 
At the presentation of the Very Reverend Michael Darcy, C.O., Provost of the Congregation of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri, the Reverend J. Leonard Dornan, C.O., is appointed Chaplain to the Catholic patients, staff, and volunteers at West Penn Hospital, Bloomfield, effective July 22, 2024.
 
 
RELEASED FROM ASSIGNMENT-RELIGIOUS
 
At the presentation of the Right Reverend Martin R. Bartel, OSB, Archabbot of Saint Vincent Archabbey, the Reverend Joachim Morgan, OSB, is relieved of his diocesan appointment as Parochial Vicar of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, Aliquippa/Center/Hopewell/Monaca, effective Monday, July 31, 2024. Fr. Morgan is being reassigned to Campus Ministry at Penn State Catholic Center.
