Bishop Zubik announces the following clergy appointment:


NEWLY ORDAINED

The Reverend Daniel J. D’Antonio to Parochial Vicar at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Braddock/Churchill/Forest Hills/Swissvale/Turtle Creek/Wilmerding and Saint Thomas the Apostle Parish, Duquesne/Homestead/Munhall/West Mifflin/Whitaker, effective July 10, 2023.

The Reverend Jacob H. Gruber to Parochial Vicar (pro-tem) at Saint James Parish, Western Washington County and Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, Southeast Washington County, effective July 10, 2023 through August 20, 2023, at which time he will return to The Catholic University of America to complete graduate studies.

The Reverend Thomas G. Kadlick to Parochial Vicar at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish, Charleroi/Donora/Monongahela, effective July 10, 2023.

The Reverend Celestine Xu, O.S.B., at the presentation of the Right Reverend Martin R. Bartel, O.S.B., Archabbot, Saint Vincent Archabbey of the Benedictine Community, is assigned as Parochial Vicar of Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, Aliquippa/Center/ Hopewell/Monaca, effective Saturday, July 1, 2023. 


SENIOR PAROCHIAL VICAR

The Reverend John F. Donahue from Leave of Absence to Senior Parochial Vicar at Saint Oscar Romero Parish, Canonsburg/Meadow Lands/Muse, effective Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

The Reverend Kenneth E. Kezmarsky is assigned Senior Parochial Vicar of Saint Thomas the Apostle Parish, Duquesne/Homestead/Munhall/West Mifflin/Whitaker, while continuing to serve in the same role at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Braddock/Churchill/ Forest Hills/Swissvale/ Turtle Creek/Wilmerding, effective Monday, July 10, 2023.



CHAPLAIN

The Reverend Christopher D. Donley is appointed Chaplain (part-time) to the Catholic Students and Staff at Point Park University, Pittsburgh, effective Monday, July 10, 2023, with continued residence at Divine Mercy Parish.  At the same time, Father Donley will maintain his assignments as Pastor of Divine Mercy Parish and as Chaplain (part-time) to the Students and Staff of Central Catholic High School.


SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT

The Reverend Kenneth W. Marlovits is assigned as Director of the Propaedeutic Program for priestly formation effective Saturday, July 1, 2023.  At the same time, Father Marlovits will maintain his assignment as Director of Vocations, Chaplain (part-time) to the Students and Staff of Bishop Canevin High School and as part of the faculty/formation team at Saint Paul Seminary.


RETIRED WITH ASSIGNMENT

The Reverend Martin F. Barkin is assigned Retired Priest with Assignment as Senior Parochial Vicar of Saint Thomas the Apostle Parish, Duquesne/Homestead/Munhall/West Mifflin/Whitaker, while continuing to serve in the same role at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Braddock/Churchill/ Forest Hills/Swissvale/Turtle Creek/Wilmerding, effective Monday, July 10, 2023.
