JOB TITLE: | PT Maintenance/Janitorial Position |
Days/Week: | Part-time (9-12 hours per week) |
Reports to: | Pastor/Administrator & Maintenance Supervisor |
Summary of Job: | The Maintenance/Janitorial Worker position is responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness and repair of parish facilities at all church sites. Performs a variety of facility and equipment maintenance duties. May perform various routine maintenance and repairs, including electrical and plumbing duties, based on skill level and experience. Also performs custodial duties including, but not limited to, cleaning services (e.g. trash removal, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, etc.) in the church, school buildings, church offices according to a weekly schedule. |
Education & Experience: | Over 21 years of age; Successful completion of safe environment training and background clearances; High school diploma or GED; Valid PA driver’s license; Possess knowledge of procedures, practices, tools, and equipment used in maintenance |
Knowledge/Skills: | Ability to move, load and unload equipment and supplies weighing 35 pounds and heavier; Able to work independently and without direct supervision; Able to walk long distances around church buildings; Able to bend, stoop, squat and reach; climb ladders and scaffold; Able to make sound judgment decisions related to all types of emergencies and safety matters. |
