Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the Music & Arts Teacher at Saints Peter & Paul School in Beaver, PA. As a Music & Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for interacting with elementary and middle school students and introducing them to reading music, musical technique, and playing instruments. You will also be responsible for teaching the creative arts process and introducing students to a variety of different art styles and techniques through hands-on art projects. The ideal candidate should have a background in music and art education, an understanding of music and art theory, and the ability and enthusiasm to inspire students to develop their musical and artistic talents. This is a half-time position.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver music and art lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and provide opportunities for students that encourage musical and artistic growth.
- Create and maintain a positive and safe learning environment that fosters creativity.
- Introduce students to a variety of musical genres and art styles as well as the various elements associated with them.
- Collaborate with SSPP parents and colleagues to support student learning and growth.
- Candidates must possess a valid Music Education PK-12 or Music K-12 certification (Special Education Certification not required)
- Proficient in piano
- Available to teach two full days a week
