Music Minister, Full Time, Holy Family Parish, Pittsburgh Holy Family Parish, located in Oakmont, Plum, and Verona, PA is searching for a Full Time Music Minister. The Music Minister reports directly to the Pastor and serves as the parish music resource for worship, education, pastoral services, and is the administrator of the music programs within the parish.
The Music Minister is responsible for planning and directing a comprehensive parish music program which typically includes several choir/musician groups, musicians, and cantors performing at various liturgies and a number of specially designed musical performances during the liturgical year. This role will also be responsible for playing piano/organ at various liturgies, and coordinate music and cantors for funerals and weddings as scheduled.
Candidates should be a person of faith, have considerable instrumental, piano/organ and vocal skills, ability to perform and lead contemporary and traditional styles, strong knowledge and appreciation of liturgy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others, teams and ministries within the parish.
Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in music (a Master’s degree is preferred), and 3-5 years experience. Competitive salary and benefits will be offered for qualified candidates.
