Bishop Zubik announces the following clergy appointment: pastor, parichial vicar, parish chaplain, retired priest with assignment, in residence, and sabbatical. 

Pastor

The Reverend Kim J. Schreck from Pastor of Saint Monica Parish (Beaver Falls/Chippewa Township/Darlington) and Administrator of Saint Blaise Parish, Midland, to Pastor of the newly established Saint Augustine Parish, Beaver Falls/Chippewa Township/Darlington/Midland, for a term of six (6) years, effective Monday, January 2, 2023.  At the same time, Fr. Schreck will continue his assignment as part-time Chaplain to Geneva College, Beaver Falls.

Parochial vicar

The Reverend John F. Naugle from Parochial Vicar of Saint Monica Parish (Beaver Falls/Chippewa Township/Darlington) and Saint Blaise Parish, Midland, to Parochial Vicar of the newly established Saint Augustine Parish, Beaver Falls/Chippewa Township/Darlington/Midland, effective Monday, January 2, 2023.

Parish Chaplain

The Reverend Ladis J. Cizik from Parish Chaplain of Saint Monica Parish (Beaver Falls/Chippewa Township/Darlington) and Saint Blaise Parish, Midland, to Parish Chaplain of the newly established Saint Augustine Parish, Beaver Falls/Chippewa Township/Darlington/Midland, effective Monday, January 2, 2023.


Retired priest with assingment 

In accordance with the provisions of the Priest Personnel Policy, and at his request, The Very Reverend Benedetto P. Vaghetto has been granted permission to resign from his current assignment as Judicial Vicar, effective January 3, 2023.  At the same time, Father Vaghetto is assigned as Judge for the Tribunal.

In Residence

The Reverend William J. Schwartz from residence at Saint Monica Parish, Beaver Falls/Chippewa Township/Darlington, to residence at the newly established Saint Augustine Parish, Beaver Falls/Chippewa Township/Darlington/Midland, effective Monday, January 2, 2023. 

Sabbatical

The Reverend Michael John Lynam has been granted permission to begin a six (6) month period of sabbatical. At the same time, his resignation as Pastor of Saint James Parish, Washington PA, has been accepted. Both his sabbatical and resignation are effective Tuesday, January 3, 2023.  His sabbatical will end on Wednesday, July 5, 2023
