Applications are now being accepted for the full-time position of Safety and Security Analyst in the Diocesan Office for Safety and Security of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. The Safety and Security Analyst position, under the direction of the Director of Safety and Security, compiles data, analyzes results of intelligence reports regarding threats and incidents, and communicates findings to the staff of the Office for Safety and Security. This position also administers, coordinates, and evaluates security programs and deployment of security personnel that support the strategy, policies, and standards of the Office for Safety and Security, established for the physical safety and security of personnel including clergy, administrators, students, parishioners, visitors and property including all churches and schools. Qualifications for the Safety and Security Analyst position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Business Management, or related field preferred.
Completion of complete background check and completion of:
• PA Child Abuse History • Criminal Record Check • Fingerprint Certification • Act 24 • Act 168
Able to receive other relevant law enforcement background clearances.
Minimum of three (3) years working within a law enforcement or public safety agency is preferred.
Experience with coordination and submission of various state and federal grants.
Knowledge of security equipment, CCTV, communication and notification systems, and locking systems.
