Part-time School Receptionist – Job Description Saint Joseph High School
Saint Joseph High School is seeking a highly organized and efficient part-time school receptionist to provide support to the Principal. The receptionist will be responsible for serving visitors by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriately to the Humanities building of the school, managing telephone calls and providing clerical support. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Mondays through Fridays during the school calendar 7:15 AM- 11:15 AM.
Primary Responsibilities
Informing visitors by answering or referring inquiries
Receiving telephone calls, and providing clerical support
Help maintain data and perform other clerical tasks
Assist in maintaining an organized office
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA
Abide by all SJHS and Pittsburgh Diocesan policies and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills
High school or GED diploma
Commitment and ability to work well with others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to details, listening skills
Professionalism
Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to pleasantly communicate, both orally and in writing
Must have verbal skills to communicate effectively with the students, families and staff
Candidates must submit clearances which include: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Clearance, Mandated Reporter Training, Protecting God’s Children Certificate. Documents will be provided by the school
