Applications are now being accepted for the position of Senior Audit Liaison in the Department for Financial Services in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) located at the Diocese of Pittsburgh Pastoral Center (Green Tree area). This position supports the third party audit firm, with statistical needs, historical request, and documentation review, while managing their assignments and acting as a liaison between the Diocese and the firm. This position develops an understanding of the financial health of the parishes. This financial health will be determined by developing statistical information to support the oversight of the Diocese on the financial needs of its parishes.
Qualifications for the Senior Audit Liaison position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration - Accounting;
CPA/CFE designation or two (2) or more years of public accounting experience;
Knowledge of accounting and auditing;
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.);
Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets;
Ability to analyze data;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail;
Proactive attitude that focuses on creating ideas and plans for correcting issues and handling daily tasks with the ability to multitask;
Excellent time management skills;
Ability to protect confidential information.
