Bishop David A. Zubik, Diocese of Pittsburgh, will ordain three men to the priesthood during a Mass of Ordination on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood (Fifth Avenue at N. Craig Street, Pittsburgh 15213).
“These men have prepared well and are ready to serve the People of God,” Bishop Zubik said. “I am excited to see the ways in which they will share the faith and love of Jesus with others as they begin their priestly ministry.”
The future priests and their home parishes are Daniel James D’Antonio (Immaculate Heart of Mary, Polish Hill), Jacob Henry Gruber (Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, Pleasant Hills), and Thomas Glynn Kadlick (Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Bairdford). The newly ordained priests will celebrate their first Masses on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at these parishes:

Brief Biographies
Daniel James D’Antonio
Daniel D’Antonio graduated from West Mifflin Area High School in 1996. He went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. In the fall of 2017 Daniel was accepted into the priestly formation program. After completing his pre-theology studies at Saint Paul Seminary, Daniel began theological studies at Saint Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, in August 2018. Following his second year of theology Daniel was assigned to the parish of Saint Thomas the Apostle, (Duquesne, Homestead, Munhall, West Mifflin, Whitaker) for his pastoral year. At the end of his third year of theology, on June 4,2022, Daniel was ordained as a transitional deacon and returned to Saint Thomas the Apostle for his diaconal year. He has completed studies at Saint Vincent Seminary.
Jacob Henry Gruber
Jacob Gruber graduated from Baldwin High School in 2013. He attended Robert Morris University, Moon Township. In the fall of 2014 Jacob was accepted into the priestly formation program and began studies at Saint Paul Seminary and Duquesne University. After completing two years of pre-theology studies, Jacob was assigned to theological studies at Theological College and the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. Following his second year of theology Jacob was assigned to the parishes of Holy Trinity in Robinson; Saint John of God, McKees Rocks; and Saint Malachy, Kennedy for his pastoral year. Jacob was ordained as a transitional deacon June 4, 2022, and returned to the three parishes for his diaconal assignment. He has completed his studies at Theological College and the Catholic University of America, Washington, DC
Thomas Glynn Kadlick
Thomas Kadlick graduated from Deer Lakes High School in 2013. He went on to study secondary education English and special education at Point Park University. In the spring of 2017 Thomas was accepted into the priestly formation program and began studies at Saint Paul Seminary and Duquesne University. After completing two years of pre-theology studies, Thomas was assigned to theological studies at Saint Vincent Seminary, Latrobe. Following his second year of theology Thomas was assigned to Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish, (Charleroi, Donora, Monongahela) for his pastoral year. Thomas was ordained as a transitional deacon June 4, 2022, and returned to Saint Andrew the Apostle parish for his diaconal assignment. He has completed theological studies at Saint Vincent Seminary.
Bishop Zubik and the new priests will be available for photos, video and interviews on the cathedral’s main steps facing Fifth Avenue following the ordination Mass at approximately 12 noon Saturday.
