Pregnant and parenting moms in need are in our parishes and our neighborhoods. Pope Francis reminds that our parishes are called to be “islands of mercy in the midst of a sea of indifference.” Everyone in the parish community should know where to refer a pregnant woman in need.
That's how Walking with Moms in Need can help.
Walking with Moms in Need is a time of service in which Catholic parishes and communities support local pregnancy centers and offer resources to pregnant and parenting women in need.
Check out the resources on this page for more information about instituting this program at your parish.

On April 11, we observe Divine Mercy Sunday when we celebrate the great love and mercy that Jesus freely gives to us all. We extend that love to all mothers in our community. Through April, pray this prayer for pregnant mothers:
Prayer for Pregnant Mothers
O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.
Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities paces of welcome and assistance for mothers in need. Help us become instruments of God’s love and compassion.
Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen.
